With the threat of flu and the winter-cold season in full swing, perhaps we should do like the PDC is doing and agree to NOT shake hands (or fist bump either) at the beginning of each match?
While simply washing your hands with warm soapy water will kill all the bacteria you can possibly carry, it's not always convenient to run to the loo and wash up between matches. All it takes is an itchy nose, a germy handshake and an inadvertent touch to your face and BAM! you've got someone else's flu or cold. No thanks! We encourage everyone in the league to keep their "cooties" to themselves and give a polite "good game" at the start of the match and nothing more.
