Week 14 Dart Highlights
Meeting at the Parksville Legion, the Comfort Group X-Men hosted the Qualicum Legion Short Sighted Crew to a fun night of darts. Starting strong and staying focussed, the Short Sighted Crew bested the X-Men 21 to 12. Leading the wins for the Crew, Lee Page was admittedly playing “really good darts” and won all five of his matches. Lee started the night off by hitting a 180, and also shot a 140, 125 and six 100’s. Darren Field got team high score of 171. Leading the wins for the X-Men, Captain Pony Moore and Todd Burnham each won three of their matches. High scorer for the X-Men, Steve Stewart shot 125 and a 120.

Also playing at the Parksville Legion, the Island Equipment Rentals Warriors met with the Cascadia Bristle Bashers for a fast paced night of darts. The Bristle Bashers hit the doubles 21 times to the Warriors 12 doubles. Top wins for the Bashers went to Dustin Fee for winning all five of his games. High score – 140 – for the Bashers was shot by Noella Ross. Leading the wins for the Warriors, spare Colin Adams won four of his six matches. High scorer for the Warriors was Chad “Fish” Trouton, who shot a 140x2, 125, and 100.

Playing at the Qualicum Legion, the Bulls Hitters hosted the Toolshed Triples to thirty-three games of darts. Bulls Hitters were hitting the doubles twice as often as the Triples – final score 22 to 11. Winning five of six matches, Peter “Spinksy” Spinks lead the teams’ wins, and was well-bolstered by the rest of his team who each won four of their six matches. High score for the Hitters – 133 – was shot by Bernie Brockway, who also shot a 132. Leading the wins for the Triples, Duane Sharp took three wins for the team. High score was Doug White’s 133 and 124.

Qualicum Legion’s B-Sharps were bested by the Parksville Legion Shooters on Tuesday night. Along with one doubles match, Arless McNeill, Sue Foster and Stan Foster were able to take a win each from the Shooters – final score 29 to 4 for the Shooters. Lorraine Hopps, George Wallis and Larry MacDonald were unbeatable in six matches each. High score – 140 – was shot by George Wallis. Thom Ford shot a high out of 106, putting him on the Leader Board this week. High scorer for the B-Sharps was Arless McNeill with a 140, 134, and 100x2.
