League Update
1. If you notice any errors on the score sheet that has been entered into the league's website or that I've missed a high mark or high out, send me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I'll review the score sheet and then make the appropriate correction. You can also contact me via private message on Facebook if that is more convenient.
2. Unfortunately, I still have not been able to resolve the glitch which has prevented the marks from being recorded. Hopefully this will be sorted out sometime next week.
3. I've been in contact with Parksville - Qualicum Beach News. There should be an article about the league in the newspaper sometime next week.
4. And if you haven't already, please 'like' District 69 Dart Association on Facebook. The more people that like us on social media, the better we will be able to promote the league and recruit new, and possibly former, players.

Dart League Looking for Players
- by Tyson Taylor - Parksville Qualicum Beach News
- posted Oct 20, 2015 at 8:00 AM
After the first four weeks of their new season, the District 69 Darts league sees the Parksville Legion Bristle Bashers lead the way winning 85 games and four matches.
Following them closely are the Short Sighted Crew who have won 82 games and three matches overall. John Eyre leads the crew and entire league with a perfect record of 20-0.
With his eye on potential growth, statistician Dustin Fee knows it’s not going to be an easy task but is reminded of how things used to be.
“I’ve heard a lot about the glory days,” Fee said. “Over the past year that I’ve been involved in the league, I’m constantly hearing about how there once were 20 teams in this league. However, in recent years, interest in the league has waned.
In Europe and parts of Asia, darts is a booming sport. You can watch matches on TV and see arenas filled with thousands of avid dart fans in England supporting their favorite players. With Canadian standouts like John Part, a former three-time world champion, the game is having a bit of a Renaissance in this country. We have also completely revamped the website and increased our online presence by creating a Facebook page.”
They encourage anyone interested to volunteer as a spare. For more information search Facebook, visit www.district69darts.com, or call president Shirley Ewert at 250-752-4349.
