Playing their last regular season game at home, the Allwood Finishers hosted the Qualicum Legion B-Sharps at the Sunset Lanes. The B-Sharps brought their A-game, but it wasn’t quite enough to best the Finishers – final score 17 to 16 for the Allwood Finishers. Topping the Finishers wins was Larry Fuller with four of five matches won, with solid wins to back him up from Fish Trouton, Harry Van Heerwaarden and Gerry James, each winning three matches. High score of the night went to Mike Jacobs with a 126, edging out Larry’s 123 and 100x3. Leading the B-Sharps in wins with a “full pull” was Lee Page, who also topped the high scores with 141, 125 and 100x2. Three wins a piece were in store for Val Smalley, Jason Samms, Anna Daschuk and Arless McNeill. B-Sharps aren’t long for the B Division at this rate – great night!

Parksville Legion was a fun, fast night of excellent darts – hosting the Cascadian Bristle Bashers and the Qualicum Legion Short Sighted Crew – The Bristle Bashers were well matched and it was a close match up until the fifth set, when the Bashers squeaked out a few more wins to beat the Crew 18 to 17. Guess who’s back in town? The former Qualicum Legion Short Sighted Crew’s Sean Ferguson spared and topped the wins against the Cascadia Bristle Bashers winning four of his five matches. Shooting a perfect score to start off the night, John Eyre won three matches. Sean shot most high scores with a 125, and four 140’s.

High score for the Hitters was Bernie with 108, 111, 126, and 132. Leading the wins for the Warriors was Captain, Ruth Kovacs, and Ron Hession. Top scorer was Jackie Anderson with a 129.

Leading the charge with 100% success was Angie Kienas, followed by Ray Jones with four of five matches to his credit. Top scores went to Bernie Brockway with a 132. British Bobbie Warrior Captain, Ruth Kovacs, snagged top score for her team with a 126, but it was her photo-worthy FIVE out that captured the most attention – double one, single one, double one – pic posted on Facebook page to prove it. Top scorer for the Warriors was Kyle Hitch with four of his five games won.
